Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Sinno Digital LLC (“Sinno Digital,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use Torala — our financial intelligence platform delivered through torala.app and our iOS and Android applications (collectively, the “Service”). It also describes the choices and rights you have regarding your information.

1. Information We Collect

Account information

When you create an account, our authentication provider Clerk collects and processes your email address and, optionally, your name. If you sign up with Google, Clerk also receives the identifying information your Google account provides. You may add an optional phone number on your account settings to receive SMS alerts; phone numbers are stored only when explicitly provided.

Usage information

We store the data you create within the Service, including the tickers on your watchlist, your alert configurations, your portfolio holdings (ticker, share count, cost basis, optional purchase date and notes), saved screener presets, summary view counts (used to enforce free-tier limits), and feedback you submit on summaries.

Device and technical information

On mobile, we may collect a push-notification token, your device type, operating system, and app version so that we can deliver alerts and diagnose issues. On the web, we collect standard log information such as IP address, browser type, and page request data.

Payment information

Subscription billing is handled by Stripe. Payment card numbers are entered directly into Stripe and are never stored on our servers. We receive a customer identifier and subscription metadata (status, plan, renewal date) from Stripe so we can grant Pro access.

Cookies and analytics

We use PostHog for product analytics and Sentry for error tracking. These tools collect information about how the Service is used (events, feature interactions, error stack traces) and may set cookies or local storage entries. We use this information to improve the Service and to investigate and fix bugs.

2. How We Use Information

  • To provide, operate, and improve the Service;
  • To send notifications you request — including email notifications via Resend, SMS via Twilio (Pro), and mobile push via Expo Push Notifications;
  • To process subscription payments and manage your subscription lifecycle through Stripe;
  • To generate AI-powered earnings summaries and sentiment analysis using publicly available earnings transcripts;
  • To analyze product usage in aggregate so we can improve features and prioritize work;
  • To detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
  • To comply with legal obligations.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers that help us operate Torala, and only to the extent necessary for them to perform their functions:

  • Clerk — authentication, account management, session handling.
  • Stripe — subscription billing and payment processing.
  • Resend — transactional email delivery (alerts, account notifications).
  • Twilio — SMS alert delivery for Pro subscribers who provide a phone number.
  • Anthropic and OpenAI — AI processing of earnings call transcripts to generate summaries and sentiment scores. We do not include personal account information in these requests; the inputs are public earnings transcripts and our prompts.
  • Expo — push notification delivery to mobile devices.
  • PostHog — product analytics.
  • Sentry — error monitoring and diagnostics.
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers that run our application servers and databases.

We may also disclose information when required by law, valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Sinno Digital, our users, or others. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction; we will notify you of any such change.

4. Data Retention

We retain account information and usage data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. Aggregated or de-identified data may be retained indefinitely.

5. Security

We use industry-standard practices to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) for all communication between your devices and our servers, encrypted storage of database credentials and API keys, and secure session management through Clerk. On mobile, authentication tokens are stored in the operating system’s secure storage (Keychain on iOS, Keystore on Android) via Expo Secure Store, with optional biometric unlock.

No system is perfectly secure. You are responsible for using a strong, unique password and for keeping your devices secure.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to opt out of non-essential communications such as marketing emails. You can update most account information directly from the settings page. To exercise other rights, contact us at legal@sinnodigital.com.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to, and is not intended for use by, individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.

8. California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) provides you with additional rights regarding your personal information, including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion of your personal information, the right to correct inaccurate personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell personal information as defined by the CCPA. To exercise your CCPA rights, contact us at legal@sinnodigital.com.

9. International Users

Torala is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to, processed, and stored in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice (such as an email or in-app notification). Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
